Purchase: I needed a better fitting half chap than my suede ones and I found these at a State Line Tack store. They were $39.99 (cheaper than their suede ones) and come in a few different colors. I got black with light blue piping on the side.
Likes: I love the ribbing on the calf. It conforms to your lag and is snug enough for a good fit. I have only worn them over breeches so I don't know how if they would stretch with jeans. These chaps do not rub your leg. They zip up quickly, no velcro here! They are tall enough for my long legs and are easy to clean with a damp cloth. The price is great at only $40 and they are still holding up well and look great.
Dislikes: The only thing I might change is the boot strap that goes under the sole of your boot. It is really long so there is a lot of extra material under your boot. I'm not sure if this is a safety hazard, but it's probably okay.
Quality: They are synthetic so they clean easily with water. None of the seams have torn or broken yet after plenty of use. The zipper seems to be pretty strong and I have never had a problem with it as long as I keep it free of dirt. There are two snaps on each chap that are holding up well also. The ribbing doesn't stretch out much and stays snug for every wear.
Summary: Great economical buy and very comfortable and strong for a synthetic chap.
