Purchase: I don't show, and I am often in muddy areas so leather boots weren't an option and PVC is too stiff. I used to have a old pair of Devon Aire synthetic boots that were great so I was looking for another similar pair. I purchased the boots of of Fourwinds.net which sells a variety of English Aussie, and Western tack and apparel at great prices. I purchased my boots for approx. $75.
Likes: They look and feel like real leather!! My last pair of leather boots didn't break in nearly as fast or look as custom fitted. The zippered back was the only way I could fit my unusual calf shape into tall boots. It also lets me just step in and out of them without a boot jack. They have a great mesh liner that wicks moisture and allows my leg to slide in. The boot pulls are a thick material (not like the thin ribbon in my last leather boots) and the sole is a great thick rubber that takes a beating. All this and they are waterproof!
Dislikes: They could use more sizing options for calf/sole. I wear a 10 w/xw and at least a b width. I just barely fit into these and there weren't any sizes up.
Quality: Thick rubber soles, bubble spur rest, zipper back, thick material and mesh liner.
Summary: I LOVE THEM!! Anyone looking for an non-leather or inexpensive boot with quality construction should buy them.
