Purchase: I was originally going to purchase a Synergist saddle for my Spotted Saddle Horse. I did some research on the Internet and read several reviews where people said if they had it to do all over again, they would buy a Crest Ridge Saddle as they offer the same great service for a fraction of the price. I submitted several photos along with a wither tracing of my horse. Debra contacted me right away and gave me a choice of two different saddle models. I selected the Sinclair Plantation Saddle and paid $653.00 and also ordered the 4-point breast collar for $36.00.
Likes: I was very impressed with the quality of the saddle. It arrived promptly and was very well packaged. I could tell that this saddle was hand made and the makers paid attention to detail. I am a dressage rider and a very tough customer in terms of saddles. I have some expensive saddles in my barn (Stubben, Theo Sommer and County). I purchased the Sinclair to use on trail rides and am very pleased to see how well my SSH gelding moves in it.
Dislikes: I can't think of anything I don't like about the saddle.... if I had to list one thing, it would be the weight. This saddle weighs approximately 18 lbs so for me this is heavy compared to my dressage saddles.
Quality: The Sinclair is extremely well made and I like the attention to detail by the saddle maker. I love the center-fire rigging for my short backed horse. Every detail was very well thought out and the saddle was made with precision. The leather is of very high quality and I know this saddle will LAST.
Summary: Crest Ridge Saddlery offers the best in customer service! I purchased a quality saddle for a nominal price (I almost feel guilty)!!! Debra really knows her stuff and was able to fit my VERY difficult to fit SSH gelding in one try.
