Purchase: I purchased the saddle brand new off of Ebay for $500, a good deal as it normally costs more than $900 new. I bought it to replace my old saddle.
Likes: The saddle was really comfortable; one of the most comfy seats I have ever sat in. The calf and thigh blocks also helped to put my leg in the correct place and made me feel very secure. Also, the leather is good quality; it has not shown any sign of wear, despite the fact that I use the saddle multiple times per day.
Dislikes: The saddle did not fit a lot of horses - the back is designed so it doesn't rest properly on the horse's back. Therefore the saddle's cantle rises up and down as I post the trot. I think that the problem could probably be helped by a riser pad, but I would rather have a saddle that fits properly without a corrective saddle pad. This problem could also be corrected by having the saddle re-flocked to fit a particular horse, but this was impossible for me, as I ride a wide variety of horses.
Quality: The saddle was well constructed; I think that it is very well made, especially for a saddle that usually runs under a thousand dollars.
Summary: Overall, the saddle was very comfortable for me, but I wish that it would have fit more horses. I would recommend this saddle if you are prepared to either re-flock it to fit a particular horse or buy some sort of corrective pad.
