Purchase: I purchased this saddle as a left over model from TDS Saddlers in the UK online for a purchase price of $1350.00 Canadian. I had tried this same saddle from Apple Saddlery and really liked it but at a price of $2500.00 Canadian a bit out of my price range. I purchased this saddle for my jumper.
Likes: This is my second Barnsby and the quality is unsurpassed. The leather on this saddle is like butter. The seat is very soft with lots of padding. The tree fits all my horses. It took about a month to break in. It puts you in a great position for over fences and the price couldn't be beat. I get comments on it where ever I go.
Dislikes: The only thing that I don't like is that the flap is a little too far forward. It is built for riders 5'6 or above. Unfortunately I am 5'3", so my legs don't quite sit in the right place on the saddle. It came with front and rear blocks but I had to remove the rear blocks because of where my leg sits.
Quality: Stitching is wonderful and the leather is of the highest quality. It is a very rich dark reddish brown.
Summary: Wonderful saddle and well worth the money even if I had paid the $2500.00 (full price). Highly recommend this saddle to anyone looking for quality and comfort in a saddle.
