Purchase: I got these off of State line for $12.99.
Likes: I got them for my horse for everyday turnout, riding, and cross country.
My long legged and strided thoroughbred has an thin hoof wall and pulls shoes quite often. I got these boots in hopes that they would protect the back of her hoof and prevent her from pulling shoes. She has pulled only one shoe in the year that I have been using them. They hold up well and are easy to keep clean.
Dislikes: I like them a lot but my one problem with this one is a large one. They rub..alot. I take them off every time I come out to rub aloe into her heal. It's a pain. Every now and then I take them off completely for several days to prevent her from losing all the hair above the back of her hoof.
Quality: I have several pairs of these, But my horse has only ripped the velcro off of one boot in the year that I have used them. The velcro is VERY tough and is strong. At first it is very tough to separate the hook and loop. almost too strong. But it gets easier to take them off after a while.
Summary: They are goof boots. Like I said I only have one problem with them but it doesn't prevent me from using them. They are sturdy and well made. And they protect my mare from her overreaching.
