Purchase: I bought these at a local tack store for $30 because my old On Course ones were too small. And I needed to use sprus on the horse I had, and my work boots were too large.
Likes: They were very comfortable and looked pretty good. I don't really like the square toe but it grew on me.
Dislikes: They did not hold up well. They began cracking within the first two weeks. After half a summer of use they were completely trashed. The material separated entirely at the toe cap and where the sole meets the rest of the boot. I could look down at my feet and see my socks through the boot. But, I also wore them hard riding every day and walking around in them through puddles and the woods. So, maybe if you only wore them to ride them would hold up better.
Quality: There was, however, nothing wrong with the construction. The synthetic material that the boot was made of was faulty. I'm sure if I'd bought the leather version I would have been much happier.
Summary: These particular boots would probably be good for someone who only is interested in one season of riding or wears boots much less then I do. However if you are interested in a pair of boots that will last under less then favorable conditions for a time, buy good quality leather boots(Tuff Rider Leather Paddock Boots are good:) and take care of them.
