Purchase: These half-chaps were purchased for me as a gift at a B&M tack store in Pennsylvania.
Likes: I love being able to wear my jeans and boots as if I'm going to ride western no matter what discipline I plan to ride that day (I hate going out in public in breeches and boots, unless I'm at a show). I like the streamlined fit of the chaps when I ride english, and they're comfortable enough that, in the hottest months of the Oklahoma summer, I often ride in shorts with my half-chaps on to eliminate the abrasions I get on my calves from hard riding in shorts.
Dislikes: I have no complaints about these chaps. They are hot to wear in the summer, but that is the nature of half-chaps. I likely would not have been able to afford them for myself at around $100/pair, but they are well worth the money.
Quality: These chaps are very durable and are holding up well under regular hard riding (3-4 times a week, around 9 months of the year).
Summary: To anyone who doesn't mind spending a little bit more for a superior product, these Ariat Classic Chaps II are well worth the money. They'll save your calves for years to come, and leave the shine on your field or dress boots for the show ring.
