Purchase: I have purchased TONS of Mary's tack, and two absolutely gorgeous saddles. Her reining saddle is unbelievably comfortable, along with being of the highest quality. Not only is it comfortable, but it is a beautiful saddle that everyone says, "why are you using this saddle for your everyday riding? It's too nice!" Everyone who rides it comments on what a nice saddle it is. I paid $1800 for it and feel it was a bargain. In addition to the saddle, I have a passion for romal reins, and Mary's are the best. So are her roo bosals, show headstalls, and anything rawhide falls within the heirloom category for me. Her tack is the best, and the more I can acquire, the happier I am. Anything I purchase from Mary becomes a sound investment for me, along with knowing I have some of the finest tack in the world. I love showing my tack to my friends, who can only say, "wow!".
Likes: I like my saddles because Mary educated me on what goes into making the saddles, and the extra effort they take to make sure they are constructed properly and with first class materials. No shortcuts here. The quality of the work is top notch, and it feels good to know that my purchase was a sound investment in quality and safety. The remarks by my trainer when he rode in my saddle confirmed my belief that the extra quality and workmanship was there.
Dislikes: I have absolutely NO dislikes about anything I have purchased from Mary. There's nothing not to like, and everything to cherish.
Quality: Quality and construction is as good as it gets. I never understood why people would pay more for factory brand name tack when the quality isn't half as good as Mary's. You can feel the quality in your hands, and know that the talented craftsmanship and knowledge that went into creating the product is as good as it gets.
Summary: One purchase from Mary (besides getting to know her and liking her a lot), and you will realize that buying saddles or tack from one of those "brand names" is just a total waste of money. Mary's quality is so much better, and you will pay less than you would pay for the overpriced junk with the cheap silver plate. Mary is as knowledgeable as can be on the difference between quality tack and poor quality imitations. I have learned a LOT and am fortunate to call her a good friend.
