Purchase: I purchased the chaps at Stateline Tack. I tried on the XS and the S. I purchased the small b/c the XSmalls were very tight, and I was worried I would not be able to get them over jeans.
Likes: I love the construction, durability, and convenience they offer. Nice product.
Dislikes: I wear mine everyday, and ride about 3 or 4 horses in them a day. The major complaint I have (like the other reviews) is that the elastic stetches too much. I have only had these since for 5 months, and though I do put them through a great deal I am dissapointed in the elastic. The right one actually turns a bit when I ride and it compromises my leg a bit. The patch rotates to the front so only the elastic is covering my leg, and thus my calf gets pinched a little.
Quality: The construction and quality are outstanding. I have no issues with the porduct other than the elastic. I know half chaps must stretch a little to fit properly, but not so much that they actually become too big.
Summary: Ordering a new, smaller pair from another company. Anyone recommend Grand Prix's pair or Tredstep's pair? I do like this product, but the elastic cannot stand up to the rigors of intensive riding. I recommend to anyone buying this product to buy the tightest size you can fit into. They will stretch!
