Purchase: I purchased my Jointed Stirrup Irons at Luster's Saddlery, Zelienople, PA for $35.95 in April, 2006. I bought them after taking a lesson with a friend who has them and told me they are supposed to help decrease stress to your knees.
Likes: After deciding I wanted to try jointed stirrups and conducting some research on the manufacturers and prices, the primary thing that attracted me to these particular stirrups was the low price.
Dislikes: So far, nothing.
Quality: For the price, the stirrups appear to be well made. The hinged 'joints' of the stirrup are held together with gray rubber. Some of the ones I've seen online are light blue or white. The gray is more subtle which is great. I do need need any extra attention focused on my foot position.
Summary: I purchased the stirrups in hopes that it would minimize the stress on my knees joints, and hopefully, help keep my heals down instead of up! For the price, so far I'm pleased.
