Purchase: This saddle was included in a lease of my horse. I think it generally goes for around $500.
Likes: I liked that I never had to clean the saddle ONCE all winter. It also seemed to be nicely balanced and I felt comfortable riding in it. The knee rolls seemed to hold my legs still, but did not confine them.
My seat also felt free and i felt as though i was riding correctly every time that i rode in it.
Dislikes: The stirrups are EXTREMELY hard to adjust. I had to dismount my horse to adjust them. I believe that the stirrups were wintec leathers on the wintec saddle.
The synthetic leather material is not nearly as comfortable as true leather. I myself, am a fan of true leather or the equisuede. I then used a wintec 2000 saddle which had equisuede and i think that this saddle would be much improved with equisuede.
Quality: The quality of the saddle itself was fine. I only rode in it for about 6 months, but nothing broke or had to be repaired. This saddle showed no sign of wear, but it also did not 'break in'. I suppose that's a consequence just of it not being leather
Summary: I would recommend this saddle to anyone interested in dressage who is extremely low on budget. However, if it is at all possible, i would recommend an upgrade either to a leather saddle or to the new improved wintec dressage with equisuede.
