Purchase: In beginning to study Parelli Natural Horsemanship, it was required that we purchase their products to attend the class. The line costs about $45.00.
Likes: This line is made from double braid nylon mariner's rope. It is of exceptional quality and durability. At first glance it seems heavier than many other lines on the market, but I have found that the design of the rope actually increases the sensitivity rather than decrease. The line itself is very "alive" and transmits communication between horse and human very effectively. The other great thing about this line is that if it gets pulled through your hands quickly it doesn't "burn" as badly as many other ropes will. It doesn't tangle on itself easily, nor kink or get twisted up.
Dislikes: The price made me hesitate, but after much use I am thrilled with the quality of the line and expect to use it for many years to come. The investment is very much worth it!
Quality: The line is constructed very well, with the splice and whipping at the snap being top notch. The snap itself is very good quality and on a swivel clip so that it doesn't get twisted. The other end of the line has a nice popper on it which is handy for fending off other horses, or aiding you in moving your own horse about. There is plenty of length to the line to allow you to get away from the horse if need be, or use the end of the line as an extra aide.
Summary: High quality line that is superb for communicating with the horse from the ground. Great length, and top quality workmanship and construction. Definitely worth the investment!
