Purchase: I bought this bridle at PetSmart (State Line Tack) last fall because I needed a bridle for my new horse. I paid $90.
Likes: It was reasonably priced and the leather quality was pretty nice. I had a Collegiate bridle already that I absolutely adored.
Dislikes: The leather is impossibly dry and a bit brittle, although it has been well cared for and conditioned regularly. Also, some of the stitching doesn't seem to be quite as tight as on my other bridle (which is fantastic)and the lacing on the reins is cheap.
Quality: It fits very well. The keepers are nice and tight, and the leather is fair. Most of the stitching is tight, but around the bit keepers it has become very slightly loose.
Summary: This bridle is not a bad bridle. It serves its purpose well. It is attractive enough for shows and it's functional for schooling and everyday use. The quality just isn't what I was expecting after my first Collegiate bridle, though.
