Purchase: I found my Windmill bridle on Ebay and was impressed by what appeared to be nice quality. I paid $100, but the set retails for near $290. It's worth every cent of that!
Likes: I am ultra picky about my tack. The stitching on this set is tight, perfect, straight, and flawless. The leather quality is the best I've seen short of Leddy's - very supple, beautifully tanned, hand stamped with no shortcuts in the beveling nor the edgework. Even the pointed tips of the bridle were flawless. This kind of tack, kept will, is heirloom. The mecate is beautiful and weighty with lovely rawhide work on the button. All of the chicago screws are well finished and for once I won't be adding new buckles or conchos because EVEN the 'keepers' are hand stamped and each have a dot, even on the throatlatch. I've never seen a bridle so absolutely well thought out to the last stitch. The breastcollar and even the mecates were just as fine. The price is way low compared to Leddys and other brands.
Dislikes: That I don't have more of them hanging in my barn! I will be searching out windmill products from now on.
Quality: The quality is the best. This is professional and show quality work, the tack you want to have on your horse to impress even if it's work tack. The leather is top shelf, the stitching is some of the best I've ever seen.
Summary: If you're looking for tack to last a lifetime but look gorgeous and work hard, check out Windmill's tack. I am absolutely floored by their quality!
