Purchase: I just got my 2nd previously owned Stubben. The first was purchased at a barn sale when I was just looking for a saddle, any saddle. I got it with fittings for $300...12 years later - it is still a great saddle...anyone who's ever ridden in it can't believe how comfortable it is! This newer saddle is only 3 years old, ridden in about 20 times and still looks brand new - got that for a song too!
Likes: They are extremely comfortable, look elegant and the 31.5 fit a wide range of horses (thoroughbred to quarter horse to draft x). They are easy to maintain and last!!!
Dislikes: I can't think of anything I don't like about these saddles.
Quality: Wool flocked panels, quality leather, pebbled texture to flaps help keep leg steady, med-wide gullet
Summary: I looked for 2 years for a quality new or used saddle and kept going back to Stubben - probably always will!! But if this newer saddle lasts as long as my older used one, I won't need to!!
