Purchase: I purchased the Tipperary protective riding vest for my daughter at a nearby tack store in Lexington Kentucky. I have since purchased three. The first two were royal blue in a youth xxsmall and a navy blue xs adult. My third purchase was a custom bright orange in small adult. Although it took 6 weeks in which to get it, it was well worth the wait.
Likes: After a bad fall without a vest, it became my obsession to locate the best protective riding gear I could find. Tipperary was it. I have purchased three since then as my daughter has grown so quickly out of them. By far Tipperary vest offer the best in comfort, fit and ease of taking it on and off and all sizes from children to adult. It does not bunch up when you are riding, making it the most comfortable vest we have tried. Washing is a breeze, I simply run a small amount of water in my bathtub and a little soap, hang to dry and it is as good as new. Or if I am in a hurry I will hose it off and let it drip dry. No piling, no bunching, no fading, just quality through and through.
Dislikes: Although the price is a little over the top, it makes up for it by giving you over the top comfort and protection.
Quality: Construction and quality of the vest is far above all the rest. Stitches are made to stay, no unraveling....even after 5 years of every day use. Each protective 2 inch foam sections move with your every movement. Adjustable drawstrings on each side gives you a custom fit. This vest is well worth the investment as it will re-pay itself over time. And the protection and comfort it gives you is certainly priceless!
Summary: Would I buy another? Absolutely, again and again!!!! Tipperary is simply the best protective vest out there on the market today. No horse owner should be riding without one!
