Purchase: These boots were purchased from Dover Saddlery online for $359.90. I got them because Ariat is known for their comfort quality and durability.
Likes: These boots are very comfortable. I mean uber comfortable. And they look awesome, too. I was skeptical about buying zip boots, because I've seen some very badly fitting pairs, and they give the impression that the people wearing them have oddly distorted growths on the back of their legs. However these boots have no such problem, and they are very easy to put on and take off. Also they zip all they way down the back of the heel for further ease of wearing. Some zip boots you still need a boot jack for because the heel is stuck.
Dislikes: The only complaint I have is that the gusset is too small. I run so my calf muscles are built up a little different from people who ride a ton. The gusset is placed where the smallest part of my calf is and I have pinched myself several times when zipping the boots up. If they had a little bit of elastic running beside the zipper it would eliminate that.
Quality: They are constructed very well. Ariat must have really researched where and how they should put the zipper in because it looks awesome. I don't have any growths coming out of the back of my legs, and I'm sure these boots will last a long time.
Summary: Awesome zip boots. I hate zip boots but I like these. They look good and eliminate foot fatigue at the end of a long show day and it only takes one person to get them off. If you are even thinking about showing get a pair of these guys.
