Purchase: I first purchased Hoof Alive at Sergeant's based on the high praise the sales staff there gave the product. It was $18.95 for the small can. My gelding had a horrible injury that cut his coronal band and proceeded to split his hoof about half way. He needed a product that not only provided the necessary moisture for his dry hooves but would promote healthy new growth.
Likes: I love this product because it deeply moisturizes and conditions the hoof. There is visible difference for days after application. I also like the fact that it is all natural ingredients : Lanolin, Glycerin, Coconut oil, Safflower Oil, Almond Oil,Aloe, Vitamin E, Lecithin, Wheat Germ Oil and Avocado Oil.
It's easy to apply in the summer either by hand or a brush. Winter application is easier if you melt it a bit. The consistency is similar to vaseline but much more emolient!
Dislikes: Winter application is difficult.

Summary: I've tried a lot of different hoof products and supplements. RainMaker, Hooflex to name a few. Nothing compares to the quality and result achieved by Hoof Alive! Everyone I've recommended it to loves it as much as I do. Thanks Hoof Alive!
