Manufacturer: Simco
Model: Arabian Working Saddle
Category: Trail Saddles

Purchase: I bought an Arabian cross, and because he had such a shorter back than all my other horses, I had to but a round skirted arabian saddle. I bought this saddle from State line tack about 2 years ago and paid about $630.00.

Likes: This saddle is by far the most comfortable trail saddle I own! The smooth leather that this saddle is made out of is nice because your legs don't get sore after long trail rides. The padded suede seat has lasted me these two years, and the passed seat still doesn't need to be replaced, and I ride about 10-15 hours a week in this saddle! I love how the rigging comes directly off the tree, instead of cut into the skirting.

Dislikes: I know this is funny, but I HATE the color of this saddle, it is like this dark mahogany color, with the black seat, it almost make the saddle look cheap. The cantle is lower than the pommel, and puts me into a "Chair Position".

Quality: Overall, this is a good quality heavy duty trail or ranch saddle, it has held up to some tough stuff, I also use it to break some of the two year olds, so it has been stepped on, rolled over, slammed against fences, etc. The tree is still in perfect condition. The leather is still supple, and doesn't seem to be showing any cracking, or tearing, just the average wear on the suede seat, and the fenders.

Summary: I love this saddle, and wish that all my saddles were this comfortable. i am very impressed with the Simco brand, which is normally considered a "cheaper" company. They have given me faith in buying their saddles.
