Purchase: I found out about this natural method of fly control & worming, through a new neighbor, who has horses. It costs approximately $15. for a bag, plus shipping, which cost about the same amount!
Likes: I give them each their ration (1 Tbsp 2x a day)with their feed (hay) each day, starting in late spring, and I have hardly seen a fly around!
Dislikes: This is a white powder, which is kind of messy, but I would still recommend it, and my horse still ate it without any problems. In addition, I have since found it in a granular form, called DE36.
Quality: Use food grade quality only. Can order the powdered form or granular.
Summary: This is, by far, the best method I have found, for fly control for my 3 horses!
It also dries the manure quickly, so there's less "mucking".
I did a lot of research on the internet for it, and found that you want to make sure you get "Food Grade", but it's natural and perfectly safe, even eliminating the need to put nasty poisons into my horses for worming.
