Purchase: I bought these side reins for about $60.00 from the Dover store in Delaware.
Likes: They're black. I couldn't believe how hard it is to find black side reins.
Dislikes: The tag says "one size", but they are one size for ponys and small horses. I have a 17 hand TB, and when I attached one side rein to my bridle and saddle, it wrenched his head nearly perpendicular to his body, and the bit was pulled half out of his mouth on the first hole. I didn't dare try to attach the other side rein. If I had, he would have been in the rollkur position.
Quality: The construction appears to be top notch. It's easy to see the cheapness of cheap leather goods, but these are definitely very nice.
Summary: Do not buy these if you have a large horse! They are about a foot smaller than all of the others I have seen since. I did find some correct length side reins in black from Tory if anyone else has the same problem I had.
