Purchase: I purchased the County Connection Dressage Saddle through an Agent(saddle fitter)who works through County Saddlery, Inc. I located County Saddlery, Inc.'s Website and it gave me their Agent's name and phone number. I paid $3295.00 plus a delivery charge of $40.00.
Likes: The only positive thing a can mention about the saddle is quality.
Dislikes: I had the County Saddlery, Inc.'s agent, come out to saddle fit my horse who is a half Dutch Warmblood and half Irish Draft with a very wide back. The measurement and tracing he took was for an XXW tree with a 17 1/2" seat. The saddle does not fit my horse, he would have needed an XW tree and I needed an 18" seat. The gullet and panels do not fit his broad back and is bridging. They say they are a custom saddle company but they only change out the trees, they do not change the gullet are panels to fit the horse. I contacted County Saddlery to see if I could get a complete refund, they will not refund my $1000.00 deposit or delivery charge. I think this is wrong due to their agent not fitting the horse properly. The company also charged my charge card without my authorization.
Quality: Quality construction. Wool stuffed panels and a wood tree.
Summary: If I would have known they only change the trees to fit the horse but they do not change the gullet are panels to fit the horses back, I would not have bothered with this company. They also do not want to refund my deposit of $1,000.00 due to their error. They are not a true custom saddle company.
