Purchase: I bought this bridle from State Line several years ago for about $200 including shipping. I wanted a bridle I could show in because my old one was looking very worn.
Likes: It looked very nice when it arrived. The leather was very stiff at first but it has softened up with oiling. The reins took a while to break in but once they did they have been ok. I had to take it all the way up, but the cob size fit my 14.2hh pony.
Dislikes: After years of use it hasn't held up the way I would have hoped. $200 is a good, not too expensive, not too cheap price and I expect it to hold up for at least 10 years with light use. After only a year the stitching in the keepers came undone. It has also lost color in the noseband and on the crown. After a little repair and constant oiling it's ok for small shows. The sad thing is the old $80 bridle has held up better. I really expected more for the price. I think in the future I will buy Dover's brand. I got one of their dressage bridle for just under 200 and it is much nicer.
Quality: The quality is ok. I think that it is overpriced. Nothing unsafe about it just not top of the line. The leather is nice but the stitching and dye just didn't hold up.
Summary: I was let down by the way the bridle held up and I will not buy this brand in the future.
