Purchase: I acquired this super Roping saddle from a direct number I got from their auction ad at Ebay.com. After buying every type roper known to man and spending tons I decided to give this one a try because a buddy had bought a nice pleasure from them. Boy was I surprised! This is the best roper I have ever owned and by far the most comfortable. I paid 375.00 for a fully loaded made in America, warrantied Roper. I have used it now for the past year and have sold those high priced ones. This company makes the saddle and sells direct to the public so I was able to get one just like I wanted and didn't have to go through a salesman or distributor.
Likes: The price! Unbelievable, If I said I could buy a true American Roper for under 400.00 I wouldn't even believe it but it's true. The ride is the most comfortable ever and it has held up to anything I throw at it. The leather is good American tanned and the tree fit my large AQH perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better fit if I had had one custom made.
Dislikes: I have yet to find anything I didn't like. I wish I could afford more of them is all. I have been thinking about buying a few and selling them, I am that sold on this company.
Quality: The company builds the saddles right in Alabama and as far as I see the construction rivals any on earth and the others can't touch the price. All American leather, Stainless hardware, Fully double rigged, and a good amount of fleece underneath. I asked for mine to be made 7/8 rigged and they were glad to do it! And it only took them 2 weeks to build the saddle!
Summary: My final thoughts are that this is the future of saddle buying. Nothing like working with the saddle maker to buy the exact saddle you want. Going into a store and just getting one of the shelf and paying triple for it ain't fun! Riders Choice, and Angie in particular, was accomidating to my every need and gave me a saddle that I have been proud to hold over my empty-pocketed riding buddies heads. And by the way 3 of them have purchased this Roper as well.
