Purchase: I bought this new from the Dover catalog, on sale for $899 with a free bridle included.
Likes: Excellent quality leather. Was stiff as a board out of the box, with with a few applications of oil it softened quickly. Very soft, secure deep seat, knee and thigh blocks make for a very secure leg position also. Nicely balanced, doesn't pitch you forward like some saddles with so many security features. Nice oakbark color too, it's been easy to find matching tack. Great value - this saddle is as comfortable and balanced as a Pessoa at half the price.
Dislikes: This is just a minor thing, but the dee rings are brass and dull quickly. Also, the plate next to the stirrup bar is blank, which shows that it's a "generic" saddle, although "Circuit" is printed on the flaps.
Quality: Soft calfskin seat, panels and knee pads, smooth french leather everywhere else.
Summary: A great value for the money. You can really tackle some big jumps securely and comfortably in this saddle. I was initially looking at the Hermes Oxer and Bruno Delgrange PJ but they were way over my budget. I show over 4', and I can't believe I found such a great jumper saddle at this price.
