Grooming Equipment

Manufacturer: Exhibitor Labs
Model: Quic Color
Category: Grooming Equipment

Purchase: A standard 16 oz bottle ranges from $7 - $10 depending on where you buy. I am looking at a rather large show season ahead, and my bay was looking rather burnt out and needed a color boost. I was also looking for a shampoo that would leave his coat nice and soft. I also have a chestnut paint mare. This seemed like the best solution for the job.

Likes: It really does intensify the horse's color. It is very gentle, with no harsh chemicals or bleaches to harm the horse's skin or coat in any way. It can be used all over the horse's body, and even intensifies the mane & tail. I love how my horse's coats feel after this shampoo is used. It's so soft, even days after using the shampoo. It also leaves the coat with a clean, fresh, good smell. I love that you can also use it on whites without leaving stains, and that it's super easy in the manner that it's not concentrated like many other whitening shampoos but leaves such a bold look. It's cheaper than Rio Vista's version, which runs about 3 dollars more and it works so much better!

Dislikes: It does take a little time for a full effect to take place. The directions recommend that it be left on the coat for 5- 10 minutes after shampooing, so it takes time. You have to use it full strength to get full results as well - you can't save shampoo by diluting it in a bucket of water, so this is definitely a show-use only shampoo rather than the everyday "my horse is a little dirty and sweaty" shampoo.

Quality: Available for purchase in the 16 oz bottles OR gallon sized containers. The container are white with QUIC COLOR in bold orange print on the side, next to the exhibitor's logo (the blue ribbon - it all makes sense. This shampoo makes your horse look like a winner!). The company is also makers of Quic Silver & Quic Black, as well as many other products, including: -Quic Braid -Quic Condition I & II -Quic Sheen -Quic Shade -Quic Screen -Quic Groom

Summary: Quic Color is my by far favorite shampoo to use in preparation for my horse shows. It's a deep, color & white intensifying shampoo for any horse!
