Purchase: I bought this blanket from Equus now online because my horse needed a fly sheet. I tried two other brands that did not fit before settling on this one. Paid $129.00 with free shipping.
Likes: I really like this blanket because of the cut. I own a high withered horse and the cut of this blanket does not cause any rub marks on his shoulders. Other blankets I tried caused severe rub marks after two days of use.
Dislikes: The material is very soft but not very durable. After two weeks of normal use two holes have developed. Strands started breaking after one day of use. I would not consider my horse hard on blankets, but because the material is soft, I think it's a trade-off for durability. The price of the blanket is obviously too high for having holes after minimal use. Basically you pay for the name and knowing it will fit well.
Quality: I have had no problems with the hardware on this blanket. This blanket also has leg arches, third surcingle, removable butt strap, and removable neck cover. Nylon lined shoulders helps prevent shoulder rubs. The leg arches appear to be more of a gimmick than actually useful.
Summary: Overall, this blanket fits well, but is over priced for the quality.
