Purchase: I bought this saddle new 5 years ago from a tack store going out of business. I paid about $1200 for it, including fittings. I have an older Stubben (it has to be at least 30 years old and still in great shape) and couldn't pass up this deal.
Likes: I have three horses- a foundation Quarter horse, an Appendix, and a Thoroughbred, and this saddle fits them all! The quality of the leather is great, and it still looks brand new after 5 years of trail riding and foxhunting. I hate to clean tack, so it gets cleaned and oiled once or twice a year, and doesn't seem to suffer!
Dislikes: Nothing! If I ever need another saddle, Stubben will be the brand I buy!
Quality: Beautiful stitching, great quality leather, comfortable seat- it was easy to break in. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Summary: This is a great saddle! You may think it is pricey, but you will never need to replace it. Much better than looking for a new saddle every few years! I can't recommend it enough!
