Purchase: I was looking through the new Dover catalog and came across this product, Brush Therapy. I thought that it was an interesting product. I have a ton of dirty brush that I don’t know what to do with. If this product works half as good as it says it will be a great help. I figured for $ 3.50 a treatment it would be worth it to try. In my new Dover order I bought two of these.
Likes: What I liked about this product is that you can see it work. As soon as you add the hot water to the product it starts to fizz to let you know it is working. The Brush Therapy worked extremely well the first time I used it. It removed most of the dirt in the brush. The water came away extremely dirty so you know it worked. It is just another way to keep those brushes as clean as we keep our horses.
Dislikes: The biggest draw back to this product is that it does not handle the horse hair as well. It removed dirt easily but when it came to the horse hair in the brush it just made it stick to the bristles.
Quality: For the price I thought that it was worth it. With the second treatment I tried removing all the horse hair before I applied the product and it worked fantastically. It removed all the dirt making the brushes look almost new again.
Summary: In conclusion, I found this product not to be what the catalog made it out to be. The product that it was is still with your $3.50 because it still removes so much dirt that average care does not. I plan on buying a bunch of theses to hand out to my friends as gifts. I’m sure they will get a kick out of it. I also plan on using one every other month to keep up with the maintenance on keep my brush clean.
