Purchase: I actually found this saddle at a state line tack store. It was marked at $550 (they hadn't been able to sell it) but because of a minute scratch in the seat I was able to get it for $420. You can find a new one online for $799. So as you can see it was just such a good deal for a crosby that I just couldn't pass it up!
Likes: I have a Thoroughbred quater horse cross and I just love the way it rides on him! It has also been a nice fit for most of the horses at my barn. Close contacts are great because they dont have the padded knee flaps that, to me, just hinder my ride. Also with this paticular model you are getting the Crosby quality for a fraction of the cost!
Dislikes: It could stand to be a bit softer in the seat, I find that on some horses (mostly the choppier gated ponies) I don't like to stay on for too long because it is just not as soft as the newer saddles.
Quality: I am a huge fan of crosby and would say that this saddle is an awesome quality for the price. It is a lower-end model crosby so your not going to find the softest seat of the greates leather. But for the awesome price it is still worth a good look at!
Summary: I have found this saddle to be very versitle, I ride hunter-jumper so I work on flat, jumping, and i do go on the occasional trail ride. I would recomend this saddle to anyone. Though I Especially reccomend them to slighter built horses such as thoroughbreds.
