Purchase: I bought this saddle as my Wintec General purpose did not put me in a very good jumping position plus it's seat was too small for me. I payed $150.00 US Dollars. I got it from a girl at my stable.
Likes: I love how my jumping seat was more correct in it. I feel more balanced in it. The leather isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. The price was right.
Dislikes: I don't like it that if you leave the bars that hold the stirrups in place down the stirrups tend to fall off so I have to leave the bars up, which is very unsafe if I were to fall and get my foot caught in them. This is remediable though, by getting quick release stirrups. I think the billits are placed higher than in most short billuted saddles which means I need a longer girth.
Quality: I don't think the leather is as good as my Bates Isabelle, but it isn't supper cheap leather either. Being used the color is slightly worn on the flaps. It's balanced very well and I was surprised to find it fit my high withered narrow backed standardbred gelding. He and my mare have the hardest fitting backs on earth so that impressed me.
Summary: I think this is a great saddle. The problems I do have, listed above, can be corrected. I only needed a saddle for practicing in and schooling shows as my primary interest is Dressage. I totally think it suites that purpose.
