Bates
Isabell
Dressage Saddles
Manufacturer: Bates
Model: Isabell
Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I ordered it through HappyAtHill Horsery tack shop. I paid around $1,700.00(USA) plus fittings.
Likes: I especially like the CAIR panels, adjustable gullets and the narrow twist. Having ridden two years in this saddle, I like the fact that it still looks new.
Dislikes: I ride a young horse and until she is finished growing, I've had to add a wedge gel pad to elevate the front of the saddle to level it out.
Quality: I chose the rougher grain leather to add to the life of the saddle. I have a longer femur than the average person, so this saddle still fit without going to a custom fit stirrup bar.
Summary: I have suggested the Isabell Bates saddle to many others and after test riding mine, many have orderd it! One spends alot of money on a good saddle, so this has been a very wise investment not only the quality but functionality.
