Purchase: My daughter was showing in the State 4H show and was showing two horses back to back so she needed another saddle. I did not want to put much money in it since I knew it would not be used very often. She has a friend that had this particular saddle and loved it. We felt that it would be sufficient for us. It was only 299.00 through Dover.
Likes: The price and it is okay to look at.
Dislikes: The flat classes went well but in two different jumping classes the whole stirrup leathers slid off causing my daughter to end up on the ground. The leather keepers will not hold. It is bad enough to lose and stirrup and be able to get it back but to actually loose the stirrup. She is lucky she did not get hurt. She is also so disappointed. This is a show that she waits all year for and never got a chance to prove herself and her new horse. It one thing when you fail or your horse fails but for your equipment to fail you. Especially new equipment.
Quality: Just looking at the saddle the quality seems to be pretty good considering the low cost of the saddle. But when actually using the saddle I would have to say it definitely has issues. I would like to think that the saddle I purchased is not reflective of the rest of Kincade's product.
Summary: I thought that I was purchasing a good little spare saddle but now I have a saddle that I will not let my daughter ride in. Dover has said that they will send me another one. But do I really want another one? I would rather spend a little more and get another Circuit saddle.
