Purchase: I bought my pessoa from TDS saddlery for around £70.00 in 2003
Likes: The system is brilliant for encourage your horse to work round and from behind. It really does develop a true topline without restricting the horse natural movement when used correctly.
Dislikes: It's not great for spooky horse as they can get nervous in it and all the ropes can become a problem if you have a horse who is not used to being lunged. I would not recommend it for youngsters or horses who have done very little lunge work.
Quality: A word of warning though after only having my pessoa 3 months the rubber within the sheepskin which goes behind the horses bum broke. Luckily my horse is very sensible on the lunge and this did not cause too much of an issue but it could be potentially dangerous for some horses. Was a bit disappointed as had not used it that much and as i said my horse is very sensible on the lunge so there was really no reason for it too break. since then two d-rings have also broken on it, i did write to pessoa but never had any response to my letters!!!
Summary: A good concept but disappointed with the quality of the item considering the cost.
