Purchase: I have owned and purchased a few bareback pads prior to this one. When I got into Parelli, I wanted a bareback pad simular to theirs without spending all that money. I searched on E-bay and found Riders Choice. For only $150 you can have a great pad, without being killed on shipping either.
Likes: What a great pad. We are currently thinking of purchasing two more. Your bottom is glued to the saddle, and the pad never twists around the horse. Great for new and experienced bareback riders. If you are looking for a great Parelli like pad this is the one I would recommend. The color choices are great too. My daughter and husband both tried mine and found it was just what I stated it was. I have ridden on bareback pads before, and they always seemed to twist around the horse or slide back, even when I felt I was not moving much. This pad stays right where I put it. I have never had to stop half way through a ride and adjust this pad. Anyone who has had to adjust a pad while riding will know this is not an easy thing to do.
Dislikes: The dee rings for the girth are right under your knees for us longer legged people. You either have to suffer the rub, or ride with your knees behind or in front of the rings.
Quality: Great construction, top quality item. So far mine is holding up to all of the trail riding I have put it through. I like the fact that it is American made, someone who knows what we want.
Summary: Great bareback saddle pad. As I said before I want two more. The saddle is just what it was advertised to be and just what I wanted. It was well worth the price.
