Purchase: Purchased on sale from State Line Tack for $20 in about a 1-month supply. I had currently run out of my regular Equinyl CM, which I had been purchasing & using regularly for 2 years straight. After a while, My horse appeared to become immune to it but was a mess without a joint supplement. His movement ( he is a 3-day event horse) suffered greatly, and the Equinyl was just too expensive ($100 a month). So I downgraded to something cheaper and more pliable.
Likes: It has had the same if not better effects on my horse's movement than the Equinyl did when I first started him on it 2 years ago. He's showing twice the elevation in his trot & is engaging himself so much better. I've never had a nice dressage test since I got Riper on this supplement. It's liquid, and for some reason (he didn't like most other liquid supplements I had put him on) he really likes this supplement. It is more pliable in his system, and it clumps all of his powdered supplements (Equipride & One AC, Electrolyte powder) together so he cannot separate them. The price is excellent - It's $80 cheaper than the Equinyl and I have found great results.
Dislikes: I pre-measure most of my feed, so feeding a liquid can be rather annoying for the barn managers because it's not as fast and easy to feed my horse. Rather than dumping in the bag, feed & supplement all together, they have to squeeze in the amount and then add it. Can get rather annoying if you're in a hurry.
Quality: Fluid Flex comes in the classic liquid supplement bottle - a squeezable container with a chamber at the top for measurement purposes (pre-marked ounce labels for convenience). The supplement contains Glucosamine HCl and Chondrotin Sulfate. Straight from the label: This liquid feed supplement is the purest and most bio available joint supplement available to provide the nutrients needed for healthy cartilage, connective tissue and synovial fluid. Contains the following: 100 mg per oz. chondroitin sulfate, 2500 mg per oz. glucosamine HCl, purified GAGS, collagen polypeptides (amino acids), yucca, grape seed extract, vitamin C, bromelain, copper, zinc and manganese. Dosage for an adult 1100 lb horse, feed 2 oz. per day for 5 days, then 1 oz. per day thereafter.
It runs from $20 - about 3x that price, depending on the size container you choose to buy.
Summary: A joint supplement of excellent value for the price.
