Purchase: I purchased the pair of boots from State Line Tack for $64.99 to use on my mare for everyday use (reining training, trail riding, under 2' jumping).
Likes: These boots seem to protect my horse's tendons as I have not had a problem yet. There are easier to put on then traditionally polo wraps and are simple to wash and dry quickly. The boots also protect from burrs and weeds. A nice option of colors is also available.
Dislikes: They are difficult to size; I got a Medium for my rather large cannoned 14.2 hand Stock Type Half-Arabian mare, and they are a bit big. To put them on you have to tighten them multiple times on each Velcro facet. Burrs and weeds can go through the boots and are a paint to get out. When they are washed, be sure to wrap them to dry or else they stretch. The logo on the front is peeling off as well. Also, they fill with dirt and sand, as well as turn on occasion.
Quality: The boots are beginning to crack on the inside, but the outside and facets are holding up well. The logo is becoming to fall off and they are stretching out. They look like they will last for a while if I keep them clean and free of mud.
Summary: Overall, I believe the boots protect my horse's skin and tendons, but I don't see much in the way of actual muscle or bone level support. The construction is great, but if they are not kept clean and dried correctly, they stretch.
