Purchase: I was looking for a better made flymask with more coverage, comfortable, and a roomier eye area. I purchased mine at Classic Saddlery in Galesburg, Michigan for $29.95.
Likes: The Cashel Crusader flymasks are outstanding. The ears are extremely soft and flexible. I like the way the forelock can be pulled through to keep it away from the eyes. I was kinda skeptical about the long nose but it does keep those nasty flies off and doesn't seem to be in the way or a hindrance when grazing or drinking. The eye area is very generous and the darts keep the material away from the eyes and eyelashes. It is very easy to put on and take off with just one velcro strap.
Dislikes:
Quality: I like the material the ears are made of, it is soft so the ears can move freely without restriction. The mesh is very durable and stays in place. The horses have rolled and rubbed their heads and the mask stays in place. The fitting is superb and the edges lay against the horse so no bugs can get in.
Summary: The Cashel Crusader long flymask with ears is a great product and well worth the money. I am very satisfied with this product and will recommend it to anyone looking for a well made flymask.
