Purchase: I purchased this saddle online from The Hitching Post Tack Shop for $999.00. This price included: shipping, Korsteel stirrups, Wintec stirrup leathers, Wintec Girth, ROMA dressage pad, saddle cover, and a full gullet set. Unfortunately though, I think this was a limited offer.
Likes: It's light weight, no maintenance is required, and the CAIR system conforms to the horse's back. The Isabell has a deep seat, and puts you in position effortlessly. It is a comfortable and secure saddle. Having the interchangeable gullets is another great feature.
Dislikes: There are positives and negatives regarding the Equisuede material. The seat is very deep on the Isabell, and along with having the additional Equisuede material you find yourself glued into the saddle. I prefer to have the ability to move around more, but I must say it does keep you secure. My horse is young and unbalanced so there have been times where I'm sure it was the Equisuede that has kept me from hitting the ground. The deep seat of the Isabell made posting difficult at first, but I got used to it over time, and have no trouble at all now.
Quality: Wintec saddles in general can't be beat for durability. The Isabell model is no different, it is well constructed and attractive. Most synthetic saddles look 'cheap', but Wintec has done a fine job with the cosmetics on the Isabell model.
Summary: Regardless of the few "negatives", I'm still going to rate it as a 5 because overall it's a great saddle. I recommend it particularly to those who are just learning to ride because it is so secure.
