Purchase: I brought this saddle directly from Balance International in the UK. I paid approximately $4500 Australian Dollars for this saddle in total (included pads and postage from UK).
Likes: The quality is fantastic, and it is a really great saddle to ride in, good for dressage and good for a gallop in the bush. I am very comfortable in it, but I am not sure how much my mare likes it.
Dislikes: Way too expensive if you are paying in Australian Dollars. Even though the quality is great its not worth that kind of money.
Did not give me the benefits Balance International claimed it would, ie I did not notice a difference in my horse, and she still gets dry spots.
The tree is not Adjustable.
Quality: The quality is fantastic (the saddle is made by Frank Baines).
Summary: I brought this saddle because I was having saddle fitting problems with my mare. All other saddles I had tried left dry spots behind her withers caused by pressure points. Balance claimed there style of saddle removes this kind of pressure around the wither. However, my mare still gets dry spots behind her wither in this saddle. There are several testimonials are the Balance website that claim how much better and more freely your horse can/will move in this saddle, however, I have found no difference in my horse.
