Purchase: I acquired this item through Ebay from Equiteric for about $45 for both the open front and ankle boots. I was looking for affordable leather boots, preferably with fleece or sheepskin. They seemed like a very pretty boot, similar to Beval, but with a much reduced price tag.
Likes: I love the look of the boots. I regularly compete in "A" circuit shows and find that these boots look the same as the boots that cost $200+. They are very nicely made for the price and easy to clean. They were the cheapest nice looking boots I could find and they're lovely. I've used them quite a bit and they look brand new.
Dislikes: I believe the sizing is incorrect. I bought them in pony size and find that they easily fit a 16.1 hand Thoroughbred. This isn't a problem, just be aware if you order!
Quality: These boots are very well made for the small price I paid. For cleaning, I have literally soaked the entire boot in water, then used Woolite on the fleece part. It comes out looking great! The leather is still in excellent condition after being soaked in water many times. I think the quality of the these is better than open front and ankle boots that cost two or three times the price.
Summary: I would definitely purchase these again. I e-mailed Equiteric about eight months after I bought the pony boots to see if they were available in horse size and it seems that they have run out of them. However, if you can find them and don't want to spend a fortune on boots, I highly recommend these!
