Summary: This is a 'detangle and shine' product. I actually received a sample of it, and thought I would try it out on my horses' tail and mane post bubble bath. My horse has an exceptionally bad tail rubbing habit which leaves him with a broken, frizzy mess at the top of his tail, and a thinned out fringe from that point down. The bottle says to rub into your palms and apply without any sticky residue. It is not sticky, but that's not to say that you can't tell their is product on your hands afterwards. Also, although it did help with the tangles in my horses' tail, it took the entire sample bottle or approx 7 oz., plus, a healthy dose of spray on detangler to work out the rough spots.
All in all, if you have a product that works well, I wouldn't recommend making the switch.
