Purchase: I bought this from Casa Dosa Tack over the phone for $20. They are courteous and great to work with. Liked it so much that I recently bought another one. My horse was rubbing on the trailer after a ride (!) got it caught, panicked and broke the snap on one side. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that they would sell me just the short side that was damaged for only $7.50 instead of having to buy the entire item again.
Likes: This is such a high quality, versatile item that I have a real problem trying to keep my family from "borrowing" it! Since it's literally a SNAP to change bits on, you can't beat it for convenience and speed when changing bits on horses. It's a simple single leather strap that goes over the poll with snaps on the ends, and a buckle on the side for adjustment. Comes with buckle ends also as an option. Rain, sweat a lot of usage and it's always in great shape.
Dislikes: That it's always the first one my family members reach for to use! Can't think of anything that I dislike about this product (except that it can't hold onto a horse AND trailer at the same time). ;)
Quality: Made of great quality bridle leather with brass snaps & hardware. Stitching and color is superb. I have the black -- looks fab on my buckskin. Brown is available also.
Summary: Whether you ride gaited, western, trail or all-around this is the most convenient quality bridle piece you can get. Surveyed their store items at a regional show here this past month and was very impressed with the top quality & beauty, but reasonable prices.
