Purchase: I bought this saddle used for $675. It is the basic model. I have ridden barrel saddles for 45 years and was curious about the flex tree.
Likes: it has a nice feel to the deep seat, the cantle is not too high and you feel very secure, the stirrups hang free and are forward enough to keep me happy. The saddle is lighter than most. the pommel is a bit more upright than my other saddles and it puts the horn right where you want it. I like the ride and would recommend this saddle to anyone.
Dislikes: this particular saddle fits all of my running type quarter horses but not the wider backed stockier ones. I still have dry spots on their withers. The leather is not quite the quality I would like. but the saddle is also very affordable. I have had a problem with the silver concho's coming off as well.
Quality: the quality of the leather is not as good as I would like. I would pay more for better leather. I like the light weight but would like to see the overall skirt length shortened just a bit.
Summary: Great ride. Keeps you in the correct position through the whole pattern. Fits most horses well except for the wider, heavier horses.
