Purchase: I purchased 12 of these fly masks for my horses new at the local feed store.
Likes: they do a great job of keeping the gnats and flys off the faces and out of the ears of the horses. the biting gnats are terrible here and often make it impossible to ride your horse unless their ears are protected.
The masks have two large velcro straps that keep them in place. They really stay on well and do the job! They have break away points in case your horse gets hung up.
Dislikes: Three of the twelve came apart within a week. the store I purchased them at gladly replaced them.
They need to make them in bright colors like red and orange so they can be easily seen out in the pasture if they do get rubbed off the horse.
The places where there are seams in the sewing at the break away points near the ears are thick and have rubbed the hair off some of my horses.
Quality: over all excellent quality. construction seems to be a bit lax with seams not catching all the fabric on 3 masks.
Summary: I like these masks and the job they do, I would rather not have the break away seams if it means rubbing the hair off the horses faces.
