Purchase: I've owned a Wintec 2000 all purpose saddle for years, so when I decided I needed a dressage saddle, Wintec was one of the first places I looked. I immediately was impressed with the CAIR air panel system and the adjustable gullets. So while at the Rolex three day event trade fair, I bought one with all the accessories (and full gullet set) for about $850.
Likes: I love the way my horse moves in the saddle. I think the adjustable gullet and air panels make it a very comfortable saddle for the horse. For me, the saddle is great. It's comfortable to sit in and the suede seat makes it almost impossible to slide out (a handy thing for a sudden spook!) Also, there's really no regular maintenance needed. And without having to oil it, my clothes don't get dirty.
Dislikes: I can't really think of what I don't like about the saddle.
Quality: The saddle is well made and I've had no trouble with any connection points.
Summary: The is a great saddle, I would highly recommend it. Even my friends who think a saddle has to be leather to be good have ridden in it and liked it too.
Usefulness Rating: 2.625 out of 5.
