Purchase: I bought this saddle over 20 years ago in Germany (the style has not changed), I paid around $1000 for it.
Likes: It is a very comfortable and secure saddle. You can ride in it for hours and it seems to adapt to a variety of horses, I have a medium tree and have used it on everything from Connemara Ponies to Warmbloods. This saddle has traveled the world with me and after a thorough cleaning, it still looks almost as good as the day I bought it.
Dislikes: No complaints whatsoever. I took it to a saddler to see if it needed reflocking or had any other problems that I may not have noticed, but he said that the saddle is still in perfect shape.
Quality: Solid construction and flawless quality.
Summary: This saddle represents the finest of German quality and craftsmanship. I am getting ready to buy a couple of gaited horse saddles and they are both going to be Stuebbens. These saddles are worth the investment. With proper care, they can literally last a lifetime.
