Purchase: I bought this halter this halter for about $20 at a small local feed store. I was impressed with the quality and it looks like it was made to last.
Likes: I absolutely love this halter. The nylon is extremely soft and pliable, and it was a huge plus for me that all the fittings are solid brass. I LOVE that the throat snap is easily replaceable.
Dislikes: Nothing at all. =)
Quality: This halter is made with super-soft nylon and solid brass fittings. It has an adjustable nose and throat snap. This is what one website says about it:
"Adjustable Nose Nylon Halter with "Quick-On" replaceable throat snap. All American made with premium American materials. Triple-ply construction featuring our patented hole process for neatness. Fabtron takes special pride in manufacturing the most "horse-friendly" nylon Halters, Headstalls, Reins and Bridles in the Equine industry. Fabtron nylon products are woven in a unique "soft" design while still retaining the premium break strength required for heavy-duty use. (6,000 psi break strength-tested at the factory with state-of-the-art equipment)."
Summary: I've had this halter about, oh, two years and it doesn't have a tear or misplaced stitch on it. My Arabian gelding has put this halter through everything imaginable and its tougher than nails. Impressed with it, I also bought one for my two year old colt. It lasted a while on him until he had a fit and broke the [replaceable!] throat snap. Once a you snap was added, it looked good as new! I highly recommend this halter for anyone looking for a durable, inexpensive nylon that will last a lifetime.
