Model: Nylon Hole Punch model #1L17
Category: Tack Room

Purchase: (www.danmontgomeryinc.com) I found it while looking on Ebay for assorted horse items, I ran across this product. It's not listed under Horse or Tack, but just under Nylon Hole Punch. So, while shopping again for my teen daughter who likes to spend her allowance on an ever expanding wardrobe of colorful nylon tack products, I searched under Nylon tack and found this item. Now, for the millions of us with horses and nylon halters, bridles, etc. we've all desperately tried to add holes into these items. I don't need to remind my fellow readers how painful & frustrating this is...we just can't make them the way the manufacturers can! Shredded, ripped areas of varying shapes that eventually fray and stretch are the best we can do, on our own. So, the thought of actually using an electric tool that promises perfectly round and sealed holes was almost too exciting for words. The Nylon Hole Punch was listed at $8 on Ebay, and I won it for $9.50 which I paid thru Paypal. Shipping through the US Postal Service Parcel Post is $3.75, with 2-9 days delivery time. Int'l flat rate shipping is $4.00 and optional insurance is $1.30. For multiple orders, you can call them at (512)752-7403 and get a discount on S&H. Orders of 10 or more S&H is free. Very nice people out of Texas.

Likes: Speed & smooth sealed holes! It's so easy to use...just plug it in (30 seconds to 1 minute), melt holes and twist out. Repeat on opposite side. Then just unplug and let it cool. A hint from the maker of the punch says that fine sandpaper will clean the tip nicely. It's designed for 60 watt, 120 volts.

Dislikes: That I didn't find it sooner!

Quality: Great construction. Nice comfortable wooden handle.

Summary: Don't pull your hair out anymore over trying to adjust your nylon tack. This is such great product at a great price, that you've just got to have one. And Fido will thank you for sizing his collar with it, too. A new size (diameter of entrance hole into the nylon tack) is available. The original size is 5/32 inch, 60 watt, 120v. The additional size is 7/32 inch, 80 watt, 120v,available for $15.
